Now, though, the twin beams were part of a single, lighter assembly that was also more aerodynamic.
The big advantage to this layout was the ability to move the leading edges of the enlarged ram-air scoops closer to the center of the fairing for improved efficiency.
Suzuki moto would explore this tactic further in subsequent generations.
