Suzuki was hard at work preparing the newly launched Gsxr 1000 for competition

Mat Mladin, reigning champion in 2002 aboard the highly developed Yoshimura Gsxr 750 race bike, worked harder than ever for results against the newly competitive 1000 cc twins.
While he gave it his all to earn fifth-and sixth-place finishes at Road Atlanta, he also knew that Suzuki was hard at work preparing the newly launched Suzuki Gsxr 1000 for competition.
