Suzuki's fifth-generation Gsxr frame borrowed little from the frame of
the original model, except perhaps the governing concept: be strong yet light.
For the
Gsxr 1000, as on the Gsxr 600 and Gsxr 750, this was achieved through a combination
of castings (steering head and swingarm pivot area) and stampings (in the main beams).
Even a few extruded pieces were chosen for this specific kind of strength.
