The Suzuki Gsxr 1000's cylinder head was essentially the same unit as the one used on the Gsxr 750, including valve sizes and angles.
The comparatively small valves improved low-end torque but, fortunately, still flowed well enough to permit a massive top-end wallop.
The eccentric cam on the fuel injection (top of photo) helped soften the partial-throttle response of this very torquey engine.
