Power and the engine's ability

When Suzuki moto switched to the short-stroke design, the combustion chambers were altered significantly.
The longstroke engine's chambers (seen on left) housed smaller valves than the new design.
The larger valves, along with the reduced average piston speeds of the short stroke, helped increase both high-rpm power and the engine's ability to rev higher.
